Tottenham have early transfer interest in five loan stars ahead of huge summer rebuild
Tottenham could have several major decisions to make on their loan players this summer, with interest already growing in multiple members of the club’s temporary contingent.
Whether or not Tottenham’s hierarchy deliver on promises of a “huge summer” in terms of arrivals, it is already shaping up to be a major transfer window for outgoings.
With Spurs still fighting to preserve their Premier League status, uncertainty remains over which players will want to join the club and who could be moved on.
The North London side are believed to already have verbal agreements in place with Premier League stars Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, although both deals are dependent on Tottenham avoiding relegation.
At the same time, Spurs must also make decisions on the 18 players currently out on loan, with several of them already attracting transfer interest ahead of next season.
Tottenham already making decisions on Alejo Veliz and Luka Vuskovic
Starting with the most advanced situation, Alejo Veliz appears increasingly likely to leave Tottenham permanently this summer. Reports suggest Spurs already have an agreement in place with Brazilian side Bahia over a €9m deal for the Argentine striker, who is expected to complete a medical in June after returning from his loan spell at Rosario Central.
Meanwhile, Luka Vuskovic continues to attract huge interest following a sensational campaign in Germany with Hamburger SV. The Croatian teenager has ranked among the best-performing centre-backs statistically across Europe this season, prompting interest from clubs including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool.
However, Tottenham are believed to be planning a bumper new contract for Vuskovic in an attempt to ward off growing interest in the defender, whose valuation is now thought to be around €60m.
Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Kota Takai has endured a quieter spell with Borussia Monchengladbach, making only four appearances since his loan in January.
Despite that, the Bundesliga side are still reportedly considering extending his stay after being impressed by the flashes of quality he has shown.
Fiorentina want Manor Solomon as Preston push to sign Alfie Devine
In Italy, Fiorentina manager Paulo Vanoli is believed to be keen on keeping Manor Solomon at the club following his loan spell in Serie A.
However, the Italian side would reportedly prefer a discount on the £8.7m option to buy due to concerns surrounding the winger’s fitness record.
Another player attracting attention is Alfie Devine, who has impressed during an outstanding loan campaign at Preston North End. The midfielder has registered 16 goal contributions during his spell in the Championship, leading Preston to explore the possibility of a permanent move.
Preston reportedly hold an option to buy Devine for around £4.5m, although that figure is considered high for the Championship side. Despite that, manager Paul Heckingbottom has admitted the club are prepared to do everything possible to try and secure the Tottenham youngster permanently.
