Was beaten from range very early on, a shot that he will feel he could have done a bit better with. Took limited chances with his distribution after the nightmare in Paris.

Malo Likes: 4/10

Faced a tough task all afternoon up against Chelsea academy graduate Rio Ngumoha, and struggled defensively as he managed the responsibilities of the wing-back role.

Wesley Fofana: 7/10

Played his part in a clever free-kick routine that levelled the game, and overall looked more confident at the back than he has in a while.

Levi Colwill: 9/10

How much Chelsea have missed Levi Colwill. A commanding display at the heart of defence in his first start of the season.

Jorrel Height: 8/1

Impressed in the wide centre-back role. Something a potential new manager will have been intrigued by.

Marc Cucurella: 8/10

Arguably Chelsea’s most dangerous player going forwards in a very advanced wing-back role. Gave off vibes of Jeremie Frimpong in Xabi Alonso’s fantastic Bayer Leverkusen side.

Andrey Santos: 5/10

Preferred to Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos was a bit of a non-factor at times, with the game passing him by for large sections. Replaced on the hour for Reece James.

Moises Caicedo: 7/10

Looked closer to the player who dominated the middle of the park in the early part of the season. Still hope that version of Moises Caicedo has not been lost.

Enzo Fernandez: 7/10

Devilish free-kick completely caught Liverpool out to level the game, and could’ve made it two for himself straight after.

Fernandez took a while to warm into the game, but started to dictate tempo alongside the Chelsea midfield.

Cole Palmer: 6/10

Kept picking the ball up in pockets that he excels in, allowing Chelsea to look a more creative force than in recent weeks.

Was unlucky to see a fine strike ruled out for an offside in the build-up.

João Pedro: 6/10

Lead the line well but ultimately struggled to carve out a genuine chance for himself in an end-to-end game.

Reece James: 7/10

Slotted straight into the Chelsea midfield upon his arrival to proceedings, the position we could expect him to start on the FA Cup final.
