Tonali to snub Premier League giants?

Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali has made a return to Serie A his “priority” for the summer, TEAMtalk claims.

The Italy international is flirting with a transfer away from the Magpies, and he was reportedly offered to Arsenal by his representatives late in the January window. Since then, he has continued to be linked with the Gunners, as well as Man City and Man Utd.

All of them could be frustrated this summer, however, as Tonali would prefer moving back to Italy. He is a dream target for Juventus and Inter, but a return to AC Milan is not out of the question. In fact, it may even be the most likely scenario.

Because of his cost, Juventus and Inter will struggle to fund a deal. Milan, on the other, maintain strong ties with Newcastle after selling Tonali and Malick Thiaw and could get a favourable financial agreement to bring the midfielder back.

Man City to make “big” Anderson bid

Man City are pushing hard for the signature of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson and will make a “big” bid to acquire him this summer, Fabrizio Romano reports.

The England star is also being chased by Man Utd, but it seems that the Red Devils will only have a chance of signing Anderson if Man City fail with their overtures. City, though, are firmly leading the race as things stand, as per Romano.

“My understanding is that financially Manchester City would be prepared to offer really important money to the player,” he said. “So City are going very strong on this deal. They are very keen.”

Rogers battle heats up

Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG are all showing a strong interest in Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers, according to talkSPORT.

Villa would prefer to keep him, but there is an acknowledgement that this will be almost impossible, even with Champions League football. They are also aware that they will likely have to make a big sale to fund incoming business.

Rogers is keen to join a big club, but he does not have a preferred destination. He is not opposed to the idea of going abroad. He admires PSG boss Luis Enrique, but the Parisians have yet to decide what kind of attacking profile they want to sign this summer.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the versatile forward in recent months, but they are currently not as involved in the race as other suitors.

Arsenal to bid for Tresoldi

Arsenal are preparing a €30 million bid for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, Tuttomercatoweb asserts.

The Germany youth international has impressed in his first season in Belgium and is attracting widespread attention. Arsenal reportedly scouted him in the flesh earlier this month.

The Gunners are looking to add a young forward due to the possible departure of Gabriel Jesus, with Tresoldi considered one of the top options available.

€90m Van de Ven battle

Liverpool and Man Utd are keen to sign Tottenham centre-back Micky van de Ven this summer, as per Nicolo Schira.

The Netherlands international has been strongly linked with a Spurs exit for months. With the club at serious risk of relegation, it is difficult to imagine a scenario in which Van de Ven stays beyond this summer.

Liverpool and Man Utd want to exploit Spurs’ weakness, but it is claimed that the North London outfit will not make life easy for Van de Ven’s suitors. They have slapped a prohibitive €90m price tag on his head.
