Federico Valverde bid prepared
Chelsea are preparing a €100 million bid for Real Madrid superstar Federico Valverde as they look to take advantage of his situation at the Bernabeu, according to Transfers.
The Uruguay international was involved in a training ground fight with team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni last week and both players were fined €500,000 as a result of the incident, while Valverde was even sent to hospital due to the injury he sustained.
He subsequently missed Los Blancos’ 2-0 defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico on Sunday – a result that handed Hansi Flick’s side the Spanish top flight title – and his future at the club has been called into question.
Despite rumoured interest from Chelsea, Fabrizio Romano reports that Valverde has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer and a transfer is therefore unlikely to be agreed.
Estevao exit threat
Liverpool see Chelsea superstar Estevao Willian as a possible heir to Mohamed Salah, as per a speculative report from Transfers.
The Brazilian has caught the eye during his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge and Liverpool are reportedly willing to offer as much as €100m for his signature during the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, Chelsea have no desire to sell the teenage wonderkid and they will not be pressured into a sale, with Estevao’s contract not due to expire until 2033.
Enzo Fernandez contract offer
Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Enzo Fernandez a new contract at the club as they look to ward off interest from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
The Argentina international has been an integral player at Stamford Bridge since his arrival from Benfica in January 2023, but he has been heavily linked with a high-profile exit in recent months amid their drastic slump in form.
Fernandez hinted that he would like to move to Madrid during the March international break and widespread reports have indicated that he is not one of Chelsea’s ‘untouchables’, unlike Moises Caicedo, Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer.
Despite this, Fernandez proved his worth yet again against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, scoring Chelsea’s equaliser in the 35th minute, and transfer expert Nicolo Schira claims that he is set to receive a new contract offer valid until either 2033 or 2034.
Nicolas Jackson latest
Bayern Munich have confirmed they will not trigger the buy clause included in Nicolas Jackson’s loan deal from Chelsea, but club legend Lotthar Matthaus has claimed that Vincent Kompany wanted to keep the Senegal forward.
“Kompany is convinced of Jackson’s abilities and would have liked to keep him in Munich, but he’s too expensive,” Matthaus told Sky90.
“Kompany has made it clear internally that he would like to keep Jackson, but obviously at a certain price that Chelsea might not accept.”
Axel Disasi to return?
Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson believes that Axel Disasi could be reintegrated next season after impressing since joining West Ham United on loan in January.
“I think he lost the belief from the managers at the time. He’s gone to West Ham and he’s performed much, much better than he was at Chelsea. I don’t know if that’s maybe the pressure’s off slightly, but it certainly isn’t now,” Johnson told GOAL.
“He can obviously play. Is he good enough to perform at the top of the league? Not so sure. He’s still got many years in him. If he’s on the upward trajectory now, I’m sure Chelsea will be looking back at him.”
Alex Scott contract plans
Bournemouth are planning to offer Alex Scott a new contract amid transfer interest from Chelsea, as per BBC Sport.
The Cherries are keen to retain their biggest stars this summer and Scott is among those who could be rewarded for his recent form, with Chelsea and Manchester United both keeping close tabs on his development.
Bournemouth also have no intention of selling Rayan, although there is substantial interest in Eli Junior Kroupi and there is concern that he could be “poached.”
Alonso talks confirmed
Chelsea have held positive discussions with former Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, numerous sources, including David Ornsteinhave confirmed.
The 43-year-old is emerging as a leading contender for the Stamford Bridge job, and it is understood that he is open to the possibility of taking charge at Chelsea. Alonso is keen to test himself in the Premier League.
However, Chelsea will not make a final decision at this stage. They are still in the process of seeking out candidates, with other names still under consideration.
Andoni Iraola update
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola insists that he will not be rushed into making a decision about his next job after confirming that he will leave this summer.
Chelsea are among the frontrunners for his signature, but Iraola has no intention of finalising his plans before the end of the season.
“I’m in no rush,” Iraola said after Bournemouth’s win over Fulham. “I will not talk about my future. I’m fully focused on trying to finish this season with a reward, something tangible for the players and supporters.”
