Paul Scholes has doubts about the Manchester United transfer news linking Chelsea’s Cole Palmer with a move to Old Trafford this summer. Speaking to talkSPORT, the United legend admitted he isn’t sure where the attacker actually fits into the current setup.
Scholes pointed out that Palmer plays a very similar role to Bruno Fernandes but doesn’t quite have the same impact on a game as the United captain. He noted that while the England international can win games with moments of brilliance, he’s unsure if Palmer belongs in the middle or out on the right where he likes to cut inside on his left foot.
Scholes likes the idea of bringing in top-tier attackers but thinks the real work needs to happen elsewhere. With things going a bit quiet at Chelsea lately, he’s curious to see what happens at Stamford Bridge, though he admits extra talent is rarely a bad thing for any squad.

While Casemiro’s form has picked up, Scholes feels he can’t keep up with the pace of the league every single week.
