Chelsea could use Oumar Solet

Chelsea will be hoping to fight for major trophies next season, and they need to plug the gaps in their defence during the summer transfer window. Adding a quality central defender will help them improve immensely. They have been quite poor defensively this season, and they cannot hope to compete with top clubs with a vulnerable defensive unit.

Solet has been consistently linked with an exit from Udinese, and the opportunity to move to England will be exciting. He is at the peak of his career, and he will look to test himself at the highest level. Chelsea is among the biggest clubs in the world, and they could provide him with the platform to showcase his qualities at the highest level. He might be able to compete for trophies with them as well.

It remains to be seen whether he is prepared to continue with Inter Milan in Italy. Both clubs could be exciting destinations for the player.

Solet could thrive at Chelsea

Solet has the attributes to succeed in English football, and Chelsea should look to get the deal done. Signing him for a reasonable sum could prove to be a masterstroke. They are expected to part ways with Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi in the summer. The Serie A star could fill the void.

It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an acceptable offer for the defender in the coming weeks.
