Udinese’s Oumar Solet has impressed in the last 12 months and is deservedly attracting attention from Chelsea.

Over the past year or so, Sport Witness have covered West Ham’s interest in the centre-back. He joined Udinese on a free transfer and last year his value had risen to about €30m.

That was the amount West Ham were told to pay, with the player also impressing this season. He’s played 33 times in Serie A, missing only two games due to injury.

Interest around the centre-back is rising again. Now it is Chelsea who have Solet on their radar ahead of the summer.

Defender expected to leave Udinese

Messaggero Veneto – relayed by Tuttomercatowebreport the Friulian club are looking at options to replace the 26-year-old in preparation for his exit.

River Plate’s Lautaro Rivero is a target but they will face competition from Chelsea in that regard. When it comes to Solet, the Blues are interested and would pick one of the Frenchman or the South American.

This is a bit of a problem to Udinese, who would much rather sell Solet to Stamford Bridge.

Solet has mind made up

SportItalia have more about the former Salzburg star. Without mentioning Chelsea or West Ham, they are confident English clubs are monitoring Solet’s situation.

The player knows Inter Milan are keen and he’s waiting for them to make a formal move. The Italian claims state he’d reject English clubs if that happened, but there be an lement of bias.
