Chelsea could start Joao Pedro sale talks straight after FA Cup final

The Brazilian has 15 Premier League goals to his name this season, with none of those coming from the penalty spot to boost his numbers.

His instant impact has not left him short of suitors in the upcoming summer transfer window, although it is Barcelona who are making a serious move to bring him in.

As a matter of fact, GE Globo are now reporting that the two sides could enter talks over a potential deal as soon as the Blues no longer have anything to play for this summer, in theory after the final.

The report goes on to say that a deal would cost in the region of £87m, with the forward only joining the club less than 12 months ago.

There are fears that Chelsea will have to part ways with one of their big-name stars in order to balance the books, even if they are victorious at Wembley on Saturday.

Despite Chelsea’s reported need to part ways with a big name, they are determined for that not to be their summer signing.

Chelsea have shut the door on Pedro leaving the club this summer, despite initial conversations involving his agent and the Catalan club.

The Blues will also not want to part ways with a player this effective in a time where they are looking to hire a new permanent first team manager.
