Alejandro Garnacho faces a race against time to be fit for this weekend’s FA Cup final at Wembley.
The winger has been out for a couple of matches, but according to his manager’s pre-match press conference yesterday, the winger could be back on the pitch tomorrow when Chelsea take on Manchester City.
Garnacho on playing at “special” Wembley
Garnacho would certainly love that. In a chat with the official Chelsea website he explained how important playing at Wembley is to him:
“I love this stadium and it’s always a good feeling to go to Wembley. From the start of my career, I played there every season. I think that is important,” the winger said.
“Playing another FA Cup final and this time winning with Chelsea, a different club, would be special.”
We’re very short of wingers and it would be great to have Garnacho back available for the team – although his from before his injury was pretty dire. Let’s hope playing in his favourite stadium will give him a lift, we really need it.

Calum McFarlane also answered questions about the game, including one amusing exchange we loved about his girlfriend and her team of choice.
McFarlane was also asked about Cole Palmer’s form, and tied himself into hilarious knots trying to not say anything at all controversial.
