If he starts tomorrow in the FA Cup final, it will be a great reward for Levi Colwill after months of hard work.
The defender ruptured his ACL in Chelsea’s first preseason training session, and has only just returned to action. 45 minutes against Nottingham Forest last week followed by the full 90 against Liverpool should mean he’s ready to start.
Colwill set for new contract with fitness established
There’s more good news to come – the piece from the Daily Mail which covers his recovery claims that the club are close to offering him a new contract. It likely would already have happened, had it not been for this long absence.
Reece James and Moises Caicedo are already tied down – this would be another important piece of progress in identifying the players the club actually want to move forward with long term.

In other news…
Chelsea have a new doubt for tomorrow’s game, an injury which has become known following the Blues’ final training session and after Calum McFarlane’s press conference.
Sam Kerr has the chance to do something amazing tomorrow afternoon in her final game before leaving Chelsea.
