Chelsea need another attacker who can make a difference on the pitch in English football’s top flight, and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers could be that man.
The Alejandro Garnacho signing has not worked out, while Jamie Gittens has not been able to make an impact because of injuries.
Rogers could easily slot in on the left. The 23-year-old can play there, though his best position is behind the striker.
Rogers has reached double figures for goals in the Premier League this season after scoring in Aston Villa’s 4-2 win against Liverpool last Friday.
Elliot Anderson
It is going to be really interesting to see what happens with Chelsea’s midfield in the summer. If Enzo Fernandez leaves, the club will definitely have to bring in a new midfielder. Taking that into account, Elliot Anderson could be a suitable candidate to come in.
Anderson does not score as many goals as Fernandez, but he is still a very technical midfielder. The England international is great at receiving the ball and passing.
Even if Fernandez does go, he could be an upgrade on Andrey Santos or Romeo Lavia. Anderson probably possesses a bit more quality on the ball than the former, while the latter cannot always be relied on because of all of his injuries.
