“We’ll See” – Agent Of £90M Rated Man City Target Fuels Transfer Speculation

The agent of Man City transfer target Junior Kroupi says that “no final decision” has been made on the player’s future.

Although Tottenham and Barcelona have been heavily linked with the Bournemouth forward in recent days, Enzo Maresca’s side, Arsenal and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest this summer.

Asked whether an agreement had been reached over Kroupi’s departure from Bournemouth, his representative Moussa Sissoko replied:

“We are still discussing his future. We’ll see what happens in the coming days; at the moment there is no final decision.”

Bournemouth will not sell Kroupi on the cheap

It is believed that, despite spending just £10m to secure the striker’s services from Lorient last year, the Cherries are now asking for a fee in the region of £90m to £100m.

City may only need to strengthen their frontline if Savinho is sold, and with Spurs being his primary suitor, you can’t see the Brazilian making the switch to North London if they have already prioritised a move for Kroupi.

With that being the case, it would be a surprise if the Cityzens are prepared to splash out so much money on the youngster.

Man City have two other positions they want to strengthen

While a winger/forward may come onto the agenda near the end of the transfer window, Director of Football Hugo Viana is likely to be focused on reinforcing other areas.

The right-back position has been a problem for a couple of years, and the club don’t appear any closer to bringing in a player, despite links with the likes of Chelsea’s Malo Gusto and Newcastle’s Tino Livramento.

Another midfielder is also expected to be snapped up due to the doubts over the futures of Rodri, Mateo Kovacic, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders.

Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, Bournemouth’s Alex Scott and Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga are just a few of the names that are on City’s radar.
