2 sources state Saturday meeting with Chelsea to finalise transfer – Blues man already agreed terms
Como have made efforts to get ahead of Inter Milan in the race to sign Chelsea‘s Trevoh Chalobah this summer.
Como president Mirwan Suwarso has already confirmed talks with Inter Milan chairman and CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, about the centre-back.
Earlier this month, we relayed news from Italy of Chelsea rejecting two offers from Como for the 27-year-old. There was even talk of an agreement, probably with the defender.
Como working on closing agreement
Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a short update.
He claims the England international has already agreed on personal terms with Como. The player is happy to be part of Cesc Fàbregas’ project at the Italian club.
Fàbregas’ side are offering €25m in fixed fee plus €5m easily achievable bonuses for the defender and are expecting a response from the Blues today.
Second source backs up Chelsea meeting
La Provincia di Como, a newspaper local to the Serie A side, partly echoes Daniele Longo’s claim and covers the latest.
Como want Trevoh Chalobah to be their big signing of this window and are now closing in on a deal for him.
They are offering €25-27m in fixed fee and the rest in bonuses to take the overall fee to €30m.
There will be a ‘crucial meeting’ between Como and Chelsea today. Cesc Fàbregas’ side want to finalise the last details of the operation, which is ‘nearing completion’.
La Provincia di Como doesn’t mention an agreement for personal terms but states the Blues man has given a positive response.
