There are seven untouchables at Chelsea as things stand, as well as new signings Marco Palestra and Morgan Rogers. Every other player has a price, and for Pedro Neto, an exit is possible.

Chelsea have already cashed in on five players this summer. Marc Cucurella and Andrey Santos for over £100m, while Tyrique George and Alejandro Garnacho have left – the latter on loan with an obligation.

That should see Chelsea rake in the best part of £70m for the two wingers, while Jimmy-Jay Morgan has joined West Brom for £4m. But Chelsea are set to sell at least 10 players before the summer deadline.

As many as five central defenders could be sold, possibly two goalkeepers, and decisions will need to be made on Emmanuel Emegha, Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson up top. Pedro Neto could also depart.

How much is Pedro Neto worth? Chelsea’s yardstick revealed

On Sunday afternoon, it emerged that Bradley Barcola would not sign a new contract at PSG. The French side, as per Nizaar Kinsella, will consider offers in the region of £140m for the France international.

An astonishing price, albeit for one of the world’s best attacking players. It came after The Daily Mail said Neto could leave this summer, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Saudi Pro League sides interested.

Indeed, the Mail report that Chelsea are using Barcola’s price tag, and the one placed on RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, as a yardstick. They are aware he is not at the same level, but are using that to compare.

So, how much is Neto worth? Well, the 26-year-old has largely been hit and miss at Chelsea. But the wide man is proven in the Premier League, having a hand in 55 goals during 180 games in England’s top flight.

Neto has a contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2031. A reliable, consistent performer, but one who did not enjoy his best season last time around. He is older than Diomande and Barcola, and not at his best.

As per the report, Chelsea know he will struggle to reach the kind of figures discussed when it comes to Diomande and Barcola. Given he was bought for around £54m, surely anything around £60m is solid.

How much do Chelsea need to make a profit on Neto?

Aside from Morgan Rogers, Neto is Chelsea’s most-senior winger and at his best, he is a proper player. His hat-trick against Wolves was proof that Neto is still capable of having an impact in a Chelsea shirt.

Chelsea are using Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola as a yardstick for Pedro Neto…

Bought in 2023 for £54m, player amortisation means Neto has now gone through around £32.4m of that fee. It means anything over £21.6m would equate to a profit on Chelsea’s books, but he’s worth more.

If Chelsea received a bid of £60m, the likelihood is that BlueCo would reject it. Especially with Malo Gusto said to be rated at £75m. If they are using Barcola and Diomande, Neto might be seen as an £80m player.

But if Chelsea start requesting £80m for Neto, it is almost guaranteed that Liverpool and City will start to look elsewhere. Chelsea need to be pragmatic; £60m or above for Neto would be stunning business.
