The World Cup winner has got Premier League experience under his belt already from his time at Manchester City. He scored 36 goals in two seasons for them despite being behind Erling Haaland in the pecking order.
The 26-year-old could provide the much-needed leadership in attack for Chelsea. Other than Pedro, the club do not have anyone who seems capable of scoring consistent goals.
Chelsea will find it difficult to sign Julian Alvarez
