Speaking exclusively to Hammers News ahead of the monumental clash with Arsenal at the London Stadium on Sunday, the most senior spokesman for West Ham’s joint chairmen said while the odds are against their side, they are not insurmountable by any stretch of the imagination.

“Never say never,” the top spokesman for West Ham’s owners told Hammers News when asked if there is still hope inside the club.

“Sadly last weekend killed us.

If we are to get a RESULT vs Arsenal, how do you think we’d do it? 🧐

“But 3/1 shots, or longer, come up all the time in sport.”

That salient message should have nerves jangling at Tottenham.

The roles are reversed again now and it is Spurs who have to deal with the pressure of being the hunted rather than the hunters.

West Ham also have what some would see as an advantage in that they play before Tottenham in the next two games, offering the chance to really turn up the heat if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can pick up positive results.

In a conversation with Jamie Carragher, Gunners legend Thierry Henry admits West Ham scare him ahead of the pivotal Arsenal clash.

Carragher himself believes West Ham can get a result against Arsenal. A win over the Gunners would see the Hammers climb out of the bottom three and back above Spurs.
