Declan Rice has become one of the key leadership figures in the Arsenal squad this season, and may have taken some pointers from Chelsea legend John Terry.

Rice, who was part of the Chelsea academy before being released, was high on the club’s transfer shortlist for a number of years before he moved to North London instead.

The Blues will not be too disappointed as they were able to bring in Moises Caicedo, who some have put above the Arsenal star in comparisons.

One area where the England international has really excelled this season is stepping up with his leadership, with Arsenal needing figures to keep them on board as they face challenges for the Premier League and Champions League.

When asked about by ‘Matt P’ on TikTok about whose leadership he would put in his perfect player, he was quick to say Chelsea hero John Terry.

Terry has been offering advice to Chelsea youngsters through his role working with the academy. He is clearly the greatest player to feature for the club after coming through as a youngster.

The Englishman’s character looks exactly what the current Chelsea squad need, however does not seem to be in the interest of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.

In fact, Chelsea players would like Terry in the dressing room as they end the season without a permanent manager following the sacking of Liam Rosenior.

John Terry has say on Chelsea managerial target

A number of names have cropped up as potential targets for Chelsea to become their new manager for next season, one of whom being Cesc Fabregas.

The former Blues midfielder has impressed greatly so far at Como, and is destined to return to the Premier League at some stage.

Terry has predicted big things for Fabregas in the managerial game, and his time playing for the club would make him a popular choice amongst supporters.

However, it is unclear how keen Fabregas actually is on taking the job, given the uncertainty that any Chelsea manager has in the job under the ownership.
