Arsenal are keeping tabs on the progress of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham, according to reports.

The younger brother of Real Madrid star, Jude, moved to Germany from Sunderland last year, and he has established himself as a regular starter in Niko Kovac’s team.

TEAMtalk claim that Belingham is regarded as “one of the most exciting young prospects in world football”, and the Gunners are one of five Premier League clubs monitoring his performances for Dortmund.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are also very keen on the 20-year-old, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are fans of the player as well.

Arsenal are expected to strengthen in midfield

Manager Mikel Arteta currently has Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Mikel Merino and Myles Lewis-Skelly as options for the two positions behind the no.10.

However, Norgaard has barely played since joining the Gunners from Brentford last summer, and the Dane could well leave the Emirates at the end of the season.

Lewis-Skelly has also been tipped for a move away, despite the fact that he has started Arsenal’s last three matches.

Bellingham is settled in Germany

TEAMtalk report that the midfielder isn’t currently considering a move back to English football, having become a regular starter in Dortmund’s first team.

Bellingham had a slow start after sealing his £30m move to Dortmund in June, and there was speculation at the end of last year that he may want to leave the Bundesliga side, but it appears he is now very much settled in.

Arsenal and other teams will continue to keep a close eye on his development, but you would have to say that, at the moment, the likelihood of a bid being made for him this summer is quite low.
